DEATH BATTLE grovels at The Invisible Man's feet!

(NOTE: The following bio is a composited one, consisting of feats from both the original novel and the Universal film)


The Invisible Man


First Appearance: The Invisible Man (1897)

Age: 30

Aliases: Dr. Griffin, Jack Griffin (in the movie)

Occupation: Scientist, Power Hungry Madman

Theme:


Feats:

-Managed to create the formula to turn him invisible

-Caused a reign of terror around various villages in England

-Killed several search party members and officers hunting him

-Derailed a train

-In the film, killed off Kemp after his betrayal

-In total, had over 120 victims


Physicality:


Strength:

(Street Level)

-Is stated to be muscular several times

-Numerous times in the book, fought off and flung aside multiple assailants

-His blows were said to be able to "fell an ox"

-Smashed through a shuttered window with an axe

-Bashed a policeman's head in with a stool

-Flung around a policeman by his legs with ease


Speed & Reflexes:

(Athletic Human Level)

-Despite running from Iping to the Downs, didn't seem to tire

-Several times in both the book and movie is shown to be able to run several miles without stopping

--Claimed to have not had proper sleep for three days despite this

-Was able to chase after Kemp despite him having a head start


Durability & Stamina:

(Street Level)

-Endured several blows from various men and police officers

-Didn't react to having his wrist scratched by a bullet from a revolver

-Had his wrist hit by a fire poker

-Took a mob of people to kill him by stomping him to death


Abilities:


Invisibility:

-Thanks to a chemical concoction, Griffin turned his body completely invisible

-Because of this, people are unable to see any trace of his body

-In order to be fully invisible, Griffin has to be fully unclothed


Intelligence:

-Is a scientist who has a background in both medicine and optics

-Figured out a formula to turn himself invisible

-Obviously uses his invisibility to his advantage in fights and is able to sneak around even police officers with ease

-In the film, outsmarted the police's plan to sneak Kemp away and thus killed him


Mindset:

-Mentally unstable, using his power for his own benefits

-Has no qualms with killing, as he wrecked a train full of innocent civilians

-Desires to rule over various towns with an iron fist

-Spoke many times about him starting a "Reign of Terror"


Equipment:


Fire Poker:

-Used to threaten several men and Kemp in both the book and movie


Iron Rod:

-Broken off a piece from a fence

-Used to murder Mr. Wicksteed


Axe:

-Used to break into Kemp's home


Revolver:

-Has six rounds

-Unknown model, but stated to be small



Weaknesses:

-Mentally Insane

-Despite his superhuman characteristics, Griffin is still human

-Being caught in a fog, rainstorm, or a snowstorm would give away his position

-If he were to get anything on him (ex: Dirt, Water, Blood) then it would also give away his position

-If Griffin were to eat anything, the food would be visible in his stomach until digested

-Can be routed out via scent

--This was exemplified when Dogs were able to detect him
