Mettaton: Shark Week may have passed but that doesn't mean we can have two of the most blood-hungry members of the Selachimorpha family!~
UL: Jaws, The Tormentor of Amity Island!
Mettaton: And The Maneater, A Bull Shark with a thirst for blood and revenge!

Mettaton: And join us as we analyze these two warrior's strengths and weaknesses to see who is the true superstar!~

UL: Amity Island was a luxurious beach that was the perfect spot for townsfolk and tourists alike to come visit and unwind or get completely hammered on the beach! As an Irishman, the latter is the way to go.
Mettaton: However, those who swim within the beach better stay close to shore for there is a terrible darkness lurking within the waters...
UL: Jaws, the Great White shark!
Mettaton: Well, at least that's what he's called in supplementary media, of course. In the films and such he has no true name, and the animatronic for the shark itself was named Bruce. However, the video games adaptations call the shark Jaws.
UL: Honestly, Jaws seems like a more intimidating name than Bruce if you ask me. If they went with that then, this would've been the result.
Mettaton: And then there was Jaws 4: The Revenge...
UL: Yeah, they really milked this franchise.
Mettaton: Indeed, however, the few times the shark actually won was in the video game adaptations. In Jaws Unleashed, the shark completely destroys Amity Island by dismantling its tourist attractions and economy piece by piece.
UL: From destroying refineries to killing reality television crews, Jaws locked down the whole island, and even killed Mayor Larry Vaughn... Or he might not've.
Mettaton: The Jaws timeline is a strange one, as Jaws also potentially saved the world via destroying the company known as Paleoco in Ultimate Predator.
UL: The CEO of Paleoco planned on reducing the oceans of earth to their prehistoric forms, reintroducing mosasaurs and other prehistoric creatures while also making all other life forms hyper aggressive.
Mettaton: However, his plans were foiled when Jaws became a thorn in his side, and ultimately his various research labs were destroyed by the shark.
UL: Well aside from the franchise pretty much becoming milked dry and spawning the ungodly shitastic trend of shark movies that broke James Rolfe and I Hate Everything, Jaws is still a fearsome predator that will make sure that no prey escapes it clutches.
Mettaton: Whether it be a drunk teenager, a dog, or anything that's got meat and blood on it, Jaws will be coming after you in a heartbeat!~

-His initial film was the first movie to ever reach 100 million at the box office, practically creating the Summer Blockbuster
-Has killed an uncountable amount of people through the years
-Destroyed the Orca (The boat, not the animal), and killed Quint
-Managed to outmaneuver the Orca 2, and destroy it as well
-Killed many types of sea life, ranging from prehistoric sea life, to actual Orcas, to even a Sperm Whale
-Has destroyed several buildings and such all across Amity Island, crippling its economy
-Killed the Mayor of Amity Island
-Escaped capture more than once
-His adventure in Ultimate Predator took him from San Diego, to the Great Barrier Reef, to the Suez Canal, to the Mediterranean Sea and various other places across the world
-In both of his game adaptations, actually killed off those hunting them, and for lack of a better word, won
--This included dozens of fishing boats and even a small coast guard battleship
-In Ultimate Predator he also technically saved the world by destroying Paleoco, which was bringing back prehistoric super predators and was causing most of the ocean's wildlife to become extremely aggressive thanks to chips implanted in them

-Has haunted both Amity Island and the Brody family for years though the novels, movies, and games
Strength
(At least Wall level+, likely Small Building level):
-Many times more powerful than normal sharks which typically are wall level
-Tears through flesh and bone like nothing, having dismembered people with ease in all forms of media
-Can smash through a metal diver's cage, which typically can withstand blows from sharks
-Was shot with several harpoons that had barrels on the end of them, and could still pull them underwater, despite normal Great Whites only requiring one to keep them in place
-Able to pull around the Orca with ease, even with the ship flooring it in the opposite direction
-Smashed apart the Orca with no difficulty
-Crushes smaller boats with just one or two strikes, and much like the Orca, can easily bash apart larger ones
-Smashed apart wooden support beams that were strong enough to hold up a house sized building
-Smashed through plexiglass in aquariums on numerous occasions, which is typically able to hold several tons worth of water
-Can smashed through massive piles of rubble blocking his path

-Dodged torpedoes
--Torpedoes can travel up to 200 knots (230 mph, 370 kph)
-Is comparable to jet skis which are in this range (up to 70 mph/112 kph)
-Outswam an exploding base on numerous occasions
--He even had to dodge strikes from a Megalodon during one of them
-Can outswim bullets and harpoons
-Dodged minigun fire
--However, keep in mind for his bullet dodging feats that bullets are typically slower in water than they are on land
Durability
(At least Wall level+, likely Small Building level):
-Many times more durable than normal sharks which typically are wall level
-Able to eat many items that'd be inedible to most other creatures, including up to 45 license plates, plastic body bags, tires and other bits of sea faring junk, with no side effects
-Knife stabs do nothing to him
-Tanks bullets and harpoons on numerous occasions
-Survived its face getting lit on fire, though this wound up giving it a massive scar
--The scar and burns didn't impede it at all, though
-Has a resistance to electricity, as he somehow managed to make it out of his mother's womb while she was being electrocuted in the novelization of Jaws: The Revenge
-Able to eat Lion Fish and Pufferfish, and survive their venom, though it still hurts him
-Merely stunned from an Electric Eel's shock

--As mentioned below, some species of Jellyfish actually seem to boost his physicality

Intelligence
(Average Human level):
-Knew to bite through the ropes that were keeping it attached to the Orca
-Tracked Sheriff Brody's wife from New England all the way down to the Bahamas
-Maneuvered his way through an underwater minefield
-Smart enough to escape a research base by using a key card to unlock a door, as shown above
-Disabled an electric fence by destroying the generators powering it
--Has actually destroyed generators numerous times, as once he destroyed a few to knock out several search lights, and again to open a large metal gate
-Threw a combustible barrel into a pipe so that said barrel would destroy a large refinery via a chain reaction
--As a matter of fact, he's destroyed several buildings, ranging from an undersea research base to an underwater mining facility, and he did this via attacking important generators, control rooms, and so on
--Also destroyed a barge and several oil rigs via doing something similar
-Despite being a shark, is actually decent in CQC, as he's learned to block by tensing his body, perform headbutts, deal out tailwhips, do bodyslams and even perform combos
--He's actually even been shown to use his environment to his advantage in fights, as mentioned above, he's thrown explosive barrels back at his aggressors and led torpedoes into the Killer Orca
-Knew to tie up a massive octopus with its own tentacles
-Can actually target weak spots, such as the soft interior of an octopus' body, a sonar device that was tracking him, the eyes of a colossal squid, or specific turrets on a boat
-Smart enough to avenge his fallen brothers via stalking Brody's family, or perhaps this could be mere coincidence
--It is possible he has learned the ability to resurrect himself and is out for revenge, though again, this could be explained as coincidence, but due to the novelization of Jaws: The Revenge, this is a genuine possibility
Unique Physicality:
-The most trademark feature of the shark is it's sheer size, as it dwarfs most other sharks at 25-35 feet (7.6-10.6 meters)
-Can swim backwards, despite normal sharks not having the muscles to do so
-Can remain on land briefly, without any negative side effects from doing so
-As mentioned above, can use his tail to tailwhip, which is behavior more like that of a Thresher Shark
-Able to deliver a "corkscrew" attack where he quickly spins towards an enemy, dealing massive damage
-Despite being a shark, can roar, and has done so multiple times
-In the Novelization of Jaws: The Revenge, due to a magical Witch Doctor, can know where any member of the Brody family is at all times
--Surprisingly, this ISN'T a joke feat
Radar:
-A physical manifestation of Jaws' ability to use electrosensory receptors to detect prey and the like
-Gives him a 360 view of what's around him
-Tracks prey and even nonliving objects
--They appear as blips on the radar
Shark Vision/Shark Sense:
-Another ability Jaws can activate at any time
-Highlights prey and other targets in green, even from several dozen meters away
-In Ultimate Predator, actually turns his entire field of view green, and still highlights prey, as well as other points of interest
-It also allows him to see his opponents' fields of view, letting him get the drop on foes when needed
Colored Jellyfish:
-Jaws seems to have the unique ability to gain temporary powers after eating certain types of Jellyfish
-Red Jellyfish cause him to go into a Feeding Frenzy, letting him attack faster and deal more damage
-Blue Jellyfish put him into Super Stealth mode, making him more difficult to detect
-Purple Jellyfish let him experience Shark Time, which obviously slows down time briefly
Weaknesses:
-No ranged attacks
-Has been outsmarted and killed by humans four times, going by the films
-Obviously restricted to water, even if he can briefly go on land
--Is also able to be damaged from freshwater after awhile, thus is pretty much limited to saltwater specifically
-Looks fake

UL: Shark Hunting is quite a well known, and somewhat illegal, activity for many boaters out on the blue seas. But no other Shark Hunter was about seasoned and advent as Pierre LeBlanc, otherwise known as Scaly Pete.
Mettaton: He didn't just hunt Sharks for sport, rather-more, he hunted them as an act of vengeance since his father was killed by a shark. However, one fateful day, Scaly Pete would ultimately meet his greatest nemesis...
UL: It started out normally enough. Pete killed what he considered just another Bull Shark, however, after cutting it open he found it had a pup inside of it. The Shark Hunter left a nasty gash on the newborn's back, however, the baby shark managed to bite off Pete's hand before escaping.
Mettaton: While this shark was nameless, it has been dubbed the Maneater, and it completely destroyed Pete's life as a form of revenge.
UL: Yes, after tearing up gators, barracudas, beach goers, and other sharks, the Maneater managed to fight Pete once more, and wound up blowing up his boat.
Mettaton: However, this boat hat Pete's son on it...
UL: Pete miraculously survived the explosion but it left him permanently scared and permanently without a son and a leg. Big oof to all three of those things.
Mettaton: The game was now set, both The Maneater and Pete were now set on killing the other. Maneater continued to rise to the top of the food chain before finally meeting up with Scaly Pete for one final showdown that would rock the seas!
UL: However, while the Maneter managed to corner Pete, the shark hunter was able to rig a series of explosives that killed both him and the Maneater... though, it's likely that the shark survived sooo... Yeah, Pete's revenge schemes kinda fell flat.
Mettaton: And as of now that's it! The Maneater still likely is causing trouble in the Gulf, just as Jaws is after destroying the likes of Paleoco!~

-Even as a new born, she's able to bite off Scaly Pete's arm and chomp through turtle shells
-Easily devours humans and aquatic wildlife
-Can rip the limbs/fins off of American Alligators, various sharks and whales
-She can tail whip humans hard enough to send them flying dozens of meters
-Able to ram into metal boats with enough force to make them explode
-Can smash open steel gates and such with ease

---While I am using the higher end for these animals' weights, this is due to the fact that in the game, you fight larger versions of these creatures
-Once fully grown, able to briefly tug around large Orcas and Sperm Whales
--Orcas are around 12,000 lb (5400 kg) and Sperm Whales are 130,000 lbs (59,000 kg)
-Able to jib large Sperm Whales and Orcas into clouds of flesh and blood, which would yield about this much energy
-Her evolutions can increase her damage output and strength, as mentioned below

(Superhuman at least, likely low Subsonic, possibly much higher via Evolutions):
-Just as fast, if not faster than the Mako, which can reach speeds of 46 mph (74 km/h)
-Able to catch up to jet skis, air boats, and speed boats
--Top speeds of jet skis are about 70 mph (112 km/h), air boats can go up to 130 mph (200 km/h) and speed boats are around 90 mph (150 km/h)
-Able to leap dozens of feet into the air with ease
--Can even triple jump
-Can keep track of torpedoes, which travel at roughly 65 km/h
-Described as being able to turn into lightning with her Bio-Electric evolution
-Other evolutions all increase her swim speed and such, and can stack
Durability
(At least Wall level+, likely Small Building level. possibly higher via Evolutions):
-She was undamaged after smashing through metal grates and boats
-Able to eat up to 80 license plates without any negative effects
-Can survive in lakes filled with toxic waste with no problems
-As a new born, can tank the bite of an American Alligator, which is about 2100 psi
--Can even survive getting snatched into a death roll for a bit
-Shrugs off getting bit and thrashed around by various sharks, ranging up to the Great White, who has a bite force of 4,000 psi
-Can shrug off bites from Killer Whales, which are about 19,000 psi, which is higher than some estimations of a T. Rex's bite force

-Disabled can disable various boats' shields via throwing torpedoes at said shield's generators
Natural Weapons:
-Her teeth are obvious weapons, and are strong enough to chew through the hide of a crocodile, license plates, and the metal exterior of a boat
-Is shown to use her tail often as a method of attack, which is behavior more like that of a thresher shark
--As mentioned above, she can launch fully grown men dozens of meters, and can evens stun Sperm Whales with this attack
Other Natural Abilities:
-Due to being a Bull Shark, is able to swim in both saltwater and freshwater
-As mentioned above, can eat to regain health
-As mentioned above, is able to grow to large sizes, her max being 9 meters long
--Though she has been shown to be comparable to Sperm Whales in size, which reach up to 19 meters
--She's also been said to be comparable to a Megalodon, which itself is also 19 meters
-Due to being a shark, can detect small traces of blood and other chemicals from extremely far distances away
-Seems to have a natural sonar ability, allowing it to detect prey, points of interest, and threats at distances of several dozen meters, as shown above
Evolutions:

-All of these abilities increase the proteins, minerals and such the shark gets from eating prey
--These items allow the shark to evolve and mutate herself, though it seems she needs a quiet, safe place to do so
-These abilities also raise the health she gets back from eating by 30%
Enhanced Sonar:
-Increases sonar by 300%, allowing the shark to spot prey at hundreds of meters away
Hearty:
-Increases her health by 600, making her even more durable
-Also makes her much more resistant to being knocked off of a boat by the crew, should she land on one
Adrenal Gland:
-Once badly injured, this ability activates
-+30% Max speed
-+30% Evade speed
-+30% Lunge speed
-+30% Acceleration bonus
-+30% Swim speed
-Basically just speeds her up all around as she's close to death
Amphibious:
-+50% Land speed, letting her flop through beaches, marshes, and golf courses quicker
-She also gains +125% survival time on land, letting her stay above water for a few minutes
Reinforced Cartilage:
-As the name suggests, reinforces the shark's cartilage, giving her +15% resistance to damage
Brutal Muscles:
-Increases the damage her tail whips deal by 30
-Lets her accelerate 30% quicker
-Increases tailwhip force by 30%, which sends objects flying further than they normally would
-+30% Max speed
-+30% Swim speed
Subliminal Evasion
-Creatures less than 90% of her size avoid her
--Basically, nothing smaller than an Sperm Whale will attack her, though this would likely be restricted for a battle
Exterior Mutations:
-These mutations are broken down into how they effect different body parts; Teeth, Head, Fins, Tail, Body
-Body mutations actually give her a unique ability she can activate after feeding enough
Shadow Set:
-Evolution set that gives her poison manipulation and likely resistance/immunity
--This poison makes opponents nauseous, and decreases speed, damage resistance, and damage output all at the same time
-Her teeth now become jagged and allow her to drain the blood of her prey, healing her on bite without her having to even fully consume a creature
-Teeth also gives her +30% bite damage
-Her shadow head evolution gives her an armored face, and a long protruding spike on her snout
-It also strengthens her neck muscles, letting her lunge 10% faster while boosting her thrash damage by 25%
-Her Shadow Body gives her the Shadow Form ability
-Using Shadow Form, she unleashes an aura of poison around her each time she lunges
-It also slows the world around her by half, letting her outspeed even the quickest of prey
-It also offers +30% to acceleration, max speed, swim speed, and lunge speed while its active
-Her Shadow Fins are sleek and covered in plated armor
--They also unleash a poison cloud around her every time she evades
-Her Shadow Tail gives +30% to max speed and swim speed
-It also allows her to launch balls of poison that explode on impact at opponents
--The range of this projectile is 30 meters, where as when it explodes it afflicts creatures in a 10 meter radius
-The shark is obviously not effected by her own poison during any of this
-She also gets +10% speed from the set as a whole
Bone Set:
-As one would assume, the bone set causes the shark to grow bone plates and protrusions all over her body, despite the fact sharks don't have skeletons
-The Bone Teeth are massive compared to her normal teeth and almost resemble that of sharpened rock
-The teeth also give her a 25% bonus to thrash damage and 60% bonus bite damage to boats as they're able to "rend steel and hold onto slippery prey"
-The Bone Head practically gives her a helmet made of bone
-This bone helmet gives a 40% bonus to ramming damage
-It makes her more resistant to being knocked off of a boat
-It increases the force behind her rams by 50%
-Finally it gives her 15% damage resistance
-The Bone body gives her an ability known as the Bone Crusher
-While active this reduces the damage taken, increases her mass by 25%, and increases her ramming damage by 100%
-Aside from just the Bone Crusher, the Bone Body gives her 25% lunge, swim, max, and acceleration speeds, while increasing her ram force by 50%
-It also increases the chance for her to eject crewmen off of boats when she rams into them by 50%
-Her Bone Fins act as a sort of blender blades
--If she evades, she barrel rolls, which causes her fins to tear through everything within 2 meters, while also gaining 50% damage resistance
-The fins also grant 15% to both ramming damage and damage resistance
-The Bone Tail turns her tailwhips into "a skull crushing bone sledgehammer"
-Specifically, this increases her tailwhip damage, while also granting her 15% to damage resistance and 20% to ramming damage
-It also increases the force of her tailwhips to 250%, sending targets flying with ease
-This set also offers +10% damage reduction
Bio-Electrical Set:
-This set gives her manipulation and resistance to electricity
-This set's teeth allow her to unleash an electrical charge each time she bites, shocking and stunning anything within 4 meters
-The Bio-Electrical head unleashes a blast of electricity that short circuits boats every time she rams into them
--This lasts for 10 seconds and would likely work on other vehicles as well, as it effects everything from air boats to jet skis to speed boats
-The Bio-Electric body gives her an ability known as the Lightning Burst which cloaks her in a cloud of electricity
--It also gives +30% to electrical and projectile damage resistances
-She also turns into lighting upon lunging, stunning everything within 9 meters
-This body gives her a 25% boost to her swim, max, lunge, and acceleration speeds as well
-Her fins from this set turn her into electricity when she evades/dodges, stunning and damaging anything within 5 meters
-They also give +100% damage resistance and +70% evade speed
-The Bio-Electric tail lets her launch a blast of electricity every time she tailwhips
--This ball of electricity has a range of 30 meters and explodes on contact with a target, stunning and damaging them
Weaknesses:
-Still needs water to survive, and thus would eventually suffocate if she's on land
--Obviously due to the above this means she's locked in the water in a battle
-Should she use her tail or her fins, it'd definitely throw her off balance at the very least, and cripple her at worst
-Gills could be a weak spot, like an actual shark
-Needs to be in a safe environment to evolve, which would likely not be granted in a Death Battle
--A weakness that feeds into this one is the fact she cant equip everything at once, though the writer could decide against this as it is a game limitation
